First snow. 5100 feet. Trail 82. I blew up. Goal was to get up for a final loop on South Sherman. The first mile of climb on 82 is always hard, but normally, heart, mind, and legs find their groove in that span. Not today. Even after the obligatory attempt to push through— by mile 4 it was clear. Oh well. @wildflowerfiend taught me: sometimes you just gotta bail to keep it fun. Now the long wait until late spring begins for #kct mountain biking. Great fucking season this year!! Thank Bokonon for skiing.
